If you are brave (and I am) it is a great idea to list the item you wish to sell for as low as you can bear.
Here I am selling an old MIDI drum machine with a starting price of £0.99 with NO RESERVE!
Now I know that this drum machine is worth well over 20 times that amount and expect to realise this by letting the auction run its course. During this time more people will be attracted to the drum machine and hopefully two people will end up fighting it at the bitter end and raise the end price.
I will of course report how well this went, however it has been a strategy that has not let me down yet.
The drum machine ended up selling for around £25 (including postage) which was just what I was expecting it to realise…
