Following a drunken conversation with my good friend Huw we decided that we should both spend some time deciding what our top ten albums were. Having spent the time and effort compiling this list I thought I would share this info with anyone who cared to listen. Therefore have a look at the following – and post your top ten, thoughts or comments as you see fit.

Aphex Twin – Richard D James
Bob Dylan – Greatest Hits
Mogwai – Young Team
Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain
Plaid – Spokes
Ride – Nowhere
The Smiths – The Smiths
Stereolab – Mars Audiac Quintet
Suede – Suede
The Wedding Present – George Best
By the way the list is compiled in artist alphabetic order as it was tricky enough getting to this short list and couldn’t get my head around actually saying which is best and so on…
Can you write an album in a month? This month???

If so you are the perfect contender for the RPM Challenge.
Basically, its up to you to record an album of 10 previously unrecorded and unreleased songs within the month on February and then send it over to the US to be included in this most fabulous of challenges.
I’m certainly gonna have a go, being as I do not know if I can do it!
Heres a few others that are writing about the challenge:
